What is Sidekix?
Sidekix is a campus app for daily sidequests: one prompt drops every morning, everyone at your school sees the same one, and you post your take in the feed—photo, video, or text. It’s built to show what your campus is actually doing, not endless scrolling.
What’s a sidequest, and when is it due?
A new sidequest goes live at 10am each day. You have until midnight that night to submit your response. Miss the day and you’re on to the next prompt.
How do reactions and the weekly prize work?
Other people can react to your posts. Those reactions add up Monday through Sunday. The person with the most reactions when the week ends (Sunday at midnight) wins the weekly prize. The top finishers also get a share card you can post to Instagram, TikTok, or iMessage.
Can I post anonymously?
Yes. You can post without showing your name and still earn reactions and count toward the weekly leaderboard.
Who sees my posts?
Your posts show up in the campus feed—they’re visible to other students using Sidekix at your school so people can react. Don’t share anything you wouldn’t want seen on campus.
Where is Sidekix available?
We’re rolling out campus by campus, starting with UT Austin. When Sidekix is available where you are, use the download app button on this site to install.
How do I create an account?
Download Sidekix from the App Store. Standard sign-up is with your phone number (SMS verification). If you were in our early access program, you may have created your account with email instead—same app, different onboarding path.
How do I reset my password?
If you signed up with email (early access), use Forgot Password on the login screen and follow the email link. If you sign in with your phone number, use the one-time code or SMS flow shown on the login screen—there isn’t a separate “password” in the same way.
How do I change my email address?
Early access accounts tied to email can usually update it under Settings → Account (labels may vary by version). If you only use phone sign-in, add or change contact info in the same area if the app offers it.
The app is crashing or not working properly.
Force-quit the app, restart your phone, and make sure you’re on the latest version from the App Store. If it keeps happening, email us with your device model and iOS version so we can dig in.
Is my information private? Do you sell my data?
We don’t sell your personal information. What we collect and how we use it is spelled out in our Privacy Policy. Messaging opt-in rules for SMS are covered there too.
