Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sidekix?
Sidekix is a feed of sidequests (community-submitted prompts) and classic challenges. You save ideas you want to try, your first save stays on deck on Home, and when you actually go do something you post an adventure—photo, video, or text—tied to that prompt. There’s also a private scratch pad on Home for your own notes; it stays on your device.
How do saves and “on deck” work?
When you save a sidequest, it joins your list. Your first saved item is highlighted on deck so you always see what’s next. Reorder or work through your saves in the app—the exact labels and gestures may vary by version.
What’s the scratch pad? Who can see it?
The scratch pad is a simple private list on Home (for example, things you want to try or already did). It’s meant for you only and is stored on your device, not as a public post in the feed.
Can I post anonymously?
Yes. You can post an adventure without showing your name on the card. It can still appear on the sidequest for others to see.
Who sees my adventures?
Adventures you post are part of the in-app experience so other Sidekix users can browse the feed and see what people did for a given prompt. Don’t post anything you wouldn’t want seen in the community.
Can I submit my own sidequest?
Yes. You can suggest a prompt; our team reviews submissions before they may go live for everyone. If yours is approved, you can get credit on the prompt, and your profile may reflect how many people completed it.
Where is Sidekix available?
Sidekix is available on iOS via the App Store. Use the download app button on this site to install.
How do I create an account?
Download Sidekix from the App Store. Standard sign-up is with your phone number (SMS verification). If you were in our early access program, you may have created your account with email instead—same app, different onboarding path.
How do I reset my password?
If you signed up with email (early access), use Forgot Password on the login screen and follow the email link. If you sign in with your phone number, use the one-time code or SMS flow shown on the login screen—there isn’t a separate “password” in the same way.
How do I change my email address?
Early access accounts tied to email can usually update it under Settings → Account (labels may vary by version). If you only use phone sign-in, add or change contact info in the same area if the app offers it.
The app is crashing or not working properly.
Force-quit the app, restart your phone, and make sure you’re on the latest version from the App Store. If it keeps happening, email us with your device model and iOS version so we can dig in.
Is my information private? Do you sell my data?
We don’t sell your personal information. What we collect and how we use it is spelled out in our Privacy Policy. Messaging opt-in rules for SMS are covered there too.
